Kashiwabara International Patent Bureau provides full service concerning prosecution and enforcement of Intellectual Property rights.
We assist domestic and overseas clients in all aspects relating to patents, utility models, trademarks, designs and copyrights. In cooperation with a carefully selected and long proved network of associates we provide services not only in Japan but also in America, Europe and Asia.

Overview
Kashiwabara International Patent Bureau was founded 1993 by Mieko Kashiwabara, patent attorney and now president of Kashiwabara International Patent Bureau. Since then, it has grown remarkably and has presently a total of four registered Japanese patent attorneys and an additional staff of 16 people who are highly qualified with technical, legal and language skills.

Our Services
【Services in Japan】
We provide full IP legal service including pre-application investigations and searches, drafting and filing applications for patents, trademarks, utility models and designs and handling the entire prosecution procedure until grant including oppositions and appeals. After registration of the respective industrial property rights, we also provide services to help maintain these rights, to propose clients how to make best use of their rights and how to handle respective procedures. We also assist clients in defending and enforcing their IP rights and in all issues relating to licensing. Furthermore, we provide consultation and support for administrative litigation and infringement.

【Overseas Services】
Kashiwabara International Patent Bureau has a wide and carefully selected network of associates in all parts of the world. Due to extensive travelling and attendance of international conferences, long standing personal and professional relations have been established. Domestic Japanese as well as international clients can rely on the fact that both in Japan and overseas they will be represented and assisted in the best possible way and in a streamlined and efficient manner which is only possible due to close relation and intensive cooperation between the persons involved.
