Taiwan Works on Improvement of Copyright Protection

Taiwan takes further actions on copyright protection. On February 1, the Draft Copyright Intermediary Organization Regulations were publicized. Since February 12, the Taiwan Intellectual Property Office (TIPO) has been holding hearings in order to hear opinions from several practitioners (different users, organizations and right holders). After the seven scheduled public hearings, TIPO will summarize the issue as reference for the revision process of Taiwan's copyright regulations.
