TIPO Published Latest Statistics of Trademarks in January 2007

The Taiwanese Intellectual Property Office (TIPO) announced the latest statistic data of trademarks last week. The number of trademark applications in Taiwan constituted 5,366 in January 2007, among which 1,100 applications were filed by non-residents. In comparison to the month before, a plus of 305 trademark applications was recorded.

The number of new trademark registrations was 5,516. 4,272 trademarks were registered for residents while 1,244 trademarks were newly registered for non-residents.
